Working from a studio in a small corner of our farm, our design style is garden gathered, delicately wild and always abundant. We specialise in bespoke floral design and floristry workshops. Hello, my name is Michelle, and I am wildly obsessed with flowers and floral design. This photo of me with a sustainable floral installation created on the streets of Mayfair captures it all—my joy in working with flowers.

My journey into floristry began while I was still working in education, delivering teacher training and student revision workshops. I enrolled in a floristry course to find some much-needed headspace, a creative outlet, and an opportunity to learn something new. Soon, I noticed how deeply flowers impacted me—I started walking the dog with my floristry snips in hand, foraging as part of our routine. I'd bring home the odd stem or branch with the most beautiful form to add to my bowl or table designs. I became obsessed, noticing curvy stems in the undergrowth and focusing more on floral arrangements in films than on the plots themselves! Floristry became all consuming.

After completing further qualifications, investing in specialist floral design courses, plus freelancing for other talented florists, I founded Rory and Rose to share the joy of flowers and design with others.

Now, we have a wonderful Rory and Rose family. Workshop attendees, flower enthusiasts, clients, followers and an amazing team of freelance florists who help us bring floral dreams to life. All celebrating the joy of flowers, together and we love it.
